Where to: Outdoor Dining and Drinks

As the days get longer and the weather starts to warm up, there's nothing better than enjoying a delicious meal or a refreshing drink outside. As summer is one of favourite times of year in Newquay, and we have a passion for good food and drinks, we thought we would share some of our favourite places with beautiful outdoor dining spaces.

If you are looking for a more casual spot for outdoor drinking and dining, The Stable is the perfect choice. Located on the north side of Fistral Beach, The Stable is a wonderful place to grab a pizza, and a pint or two. The menu features a range of delicious sourdough-based pizzas, salads, mac and cheese, tater tots, salad, and a selection of local ciders and craft beers.

Our go-to order:

With stunning views over Fistral Beach, the deck at Fistral Beach Hotel and Spa is an excellent destination for some adult-only fun in the sun. Order from the Bay Bar's award-winning cocktail menu and enjoy one of their various sharing boards. As the Fistral Beach Hotel is an adults-only property, their deck offers a relaxing respite from the hustle and bustle during the summer holidays.

Our go-to order:

For seafood lovers, the Fish House Fistral is a superb choice drawing inspiration for their culinary creations straight from the sea, featuring locally caught fish and shellfish sourced straight from Newquay Harbour. The use of the freshest seasonal ingredients results in a delectable array of rustic dishes that burst with authentic flavours.

Our go-to order:

If you're looking for a hidden gem, the Secret Garden is a must-visit. The tranquil outdoor space is tucked away behind the restaurant, offering a peaceful retreat and views over Great Western Beach. The Secret garden offers a menu of handcrafted pizzas, organic and biodynamic wines, artisanal cocktails, and locally made Cornish beers, gins, and ciders.

Our go-to order:

Located on the cliffs overlooking Fistral Beach, the terrace at the Lewinnick Lodge provides stunning views of the coast. Their menu is a tribute to the seaside way of life, showcasing the finest ingredients local to Cornwall with a modern flair.

Our go-to order:

With a breathtaking vista of Newquay Harbour and seven of our stunning beaches, The Harbour Fish and Grill boasts an exquisite dining experience. Chef Aaron James' culinary philosophy is a perfect blend of simplicity and elegance, using locally sourced ingredients while maintaining a conscious effort to reduce his carbon footprint.

Our go-to order:

Nestled on the beach in Newquay Harbour, The Boathouse is a chilled-out street food market and bar showcasing an eclectic mix of local and international cuisine. Additionally, there are fantastic dessert vendors offering a delicious choice of sweet treats, ice creams, and barista coffee.

Our go-to order:

Newquay is blessed with an abundance of great spots for outdoor drinking and dining, so why not take advantage of the beautiful days ahead to check them out? Whether you're looking for a sophisticated dining experience or a more casual spot to relax with family and friends, there is truly somewhere for everyone.
