Where to pancake in Newquay

Somewhat of a guilty pleasure of ours, we’ve chosen to showcase a few of our top picks for morning glory deliciousness as we present our guide of ‘where to: pancake’. Each choice every bit delicious as the next, when it comes to your next morning nibble, why not give these guys a go?

Sunday roast at The Esplanade Hotel in Newquay

One of the new kids on the block, Palm Bay is a cool family friendly eatery serving a bunch of yummy brunch dishes complete with a cute kids play corner. Spoilt for choice, kick-start your day with ‘Strawberry + chocolate’ combining strawberries + chocolate sauce, crumbled chocolate + maple syrup, ‘Blueberry + crème fraiche’ with maple syrup, ‘Lemon drizzle + sugar’ topped with maple syrup or the ‘Lotus biscoff’ drizzle, crumb and biscuit topped off with maple syrup. These beauties are 100% made for the gram!

Nestled a stone’s throw away from the shoreline of the famous waves of Fistral Beach, Sea Spray café boasts some of the best views in the bay – the perfect accompaniment for any breakfast date. Start the morning with a local caffeine fix, served with a side of your favourite stack of pancakes. Choose from ‘Blueberry Bacon’, a stack with mouth-watering maple glazed streaky bacon, Cornish butter, blueberry infused maple syrup and honeycomb shards or ‘Lemon Meringue’ – just as the name suggests – lemon curd, clotted cream, homemade meringue and pistachio crumb.

Sunday roast at The Colonial, Tolcarne, Newquay

Situated in the center of town, and the perfect place for a little people watching from a window seat, take a pew at Concho ready to devour a mid-morning treat, accompanied by your favourite hot beverage. A choice between two hearty sweets, meat-lovers can opt for the ‘Bacon Triple-Stacked Buttermilk Pancakes’, with smoked streaky bacon, caressed with maple syrup or the fruity ‘Banana Triple-Stacked Buttermilk Pancakes’ combining banana, berry compote and Greek yoghurt, of which each option equally as tasty in our opinion!
